The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust India v. www.friendwithbooks.co
The proceedings concerned electronic distribution of complete BBT books and a challenge to the legal basis of copyright in Śrīla Prabhupāda’s works.
The judgment recorded the BBT India trust deed dated 30 March 1972 and a deed of confirmation dated 15 January 1975. It held that Śrīla Prabhupāda had assigned his copyright rights during his lifetime, and later granted summary judgment in favour of BBT India.
